Dr. Emily Archer was raised in Amarillo. She attended Amarillo public schools and graduated from Tascosa High School and Amarillo College before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin where is graduated from the Plan II honors program. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas -  Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.  Dr. Archer completed Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Harvard Medical School in Boston and was chief resident at the Brigham & Women's Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital.  She was the first board-certified female gynecologist in private practice in Amarillo.

Dr. Archer was board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1988, and was re-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998 by examination. She was the recipient of the Early B. Lokey Medical Service Award in 2001.

In 2007, Dr Archer was particularly honored to be selected the "Alumna of the Year" by Amarillo College.

Dr. Archer's practice is limited to gynecology and laser surgery. Appointments are available.  If feel that you have a problem that may need surgery, please tell our secretary when calling for an appointment.
